About this entry: The 2019–2021 College of Science Annual Report highlights our achievements and progress toward becoming an inclusive hub for discovery and innovation and an incubator for tomorrow’s scientists.

This report celebrates the renewed belief at the national level that challenges we face require harnessing the full power of science. This syncs with our swelling drive to advance innovation and collaboration in pursuit of knowledge that improves our planet, our health and our economy. We draw inspiration from the seminal 1945 publication “Advancing the Endless Frontier” by Vannevar Bush that led to the creation of the National Science Foundation.

It also highlights how OSU science leadership has reached across the world. Our scientists achieved award-winning success even in the midst of pandemic challenges. They produced knowledge, generated innovations and inspired national policy to promote economic, social, health, cultural and environmental progress for the people of Oregon and beyond.
