Title of entry: 2021 Simon Benson Awards Welcome Animation

About this entry: This short opening animation introduced the 2021 Simon Benson Awards, an annual showcase of inspiring stories and alumni achievements. The event's virtual format offered an opportunity to set the tone with an illustrated animation that would take the viewers on a journey of PSU's impact across the state. The animated streetcar (emblematic of our university) takes us across Oregon through our natural environment and into our city's signature downtown area, where our university's campus rests. The movement combined with bold, punchy colors reflect the energy and excitement we hoped to inspire in our viewers.
