Title of entry: Missouri S&T Magazine — Into the Next Century and Beyond

About this entry: In October 2020, June and the late Fred Kummer gave a jaw-dropping $300 million to Missouri S&T – the largest gift ever to a public university in our state and one of the largest university gifts in history. The gift established the Kummer Institute Foundation, which will channel funding into several new buildings and labs, greater community outreach, and new initiatives at Missouri S&T. The timing of the 2021 issue of Missouri S&T Magazine, which mailed near the end of the university’s sesquicentennial celebration, provided an outlet to both recognize the donors and the gift, but also to showcase how those transformations would launch Missouri S&T into its next 150 years.
