Title of entry: Student Center Mural

About this entry: The idea for a mural on campus started with the desire by the Office of the President to dress up the Student Center at the University of South Alabama. The Office of Marketing and Communication was tasked with the challenge and came up with the idea of a mural to cover a long horizontal brick wall between the Student Center entrance and the bookstore loading dock. The project spanned two months from concept to completion, but once the artist began painting, it created buzz and anticipation. The mural is now a landmark on campus and visible to all who come to campus for a tour. It's a backdrop for photos now and in the years to come.
