Description

Best of CASE District III Award

Institution: Rollins College

Title of entry: College of Liberal Arts Website

About this entry: Rollins comprises three schools: the College of Liberal Arts (CLA), Crummer Graduate School of Business, and Hamilton Holt School. Enrollment in CLA represents more than 70 percent of Rollins’ total enrollment and CLA is the college’s largest revenue sources. Yet prior to the development of this website, we did not have a website designed specifically to serve CLA’s audience of high school students and their families. We weren’t doing a good enough job of engaging our most important audience on the web and guiding them through the college decision process.

Through the development of this new website, we accomplished the following:

— We migrated to a new state-of-the-art tech stack that delivers both significantly enhanced performance, heightened security, and better integration of our digital marketing tools.
— We completely overhauled the user experience, creating a new architecture, navigation, and page design.
— We completely overhauled content on the site, crafting new copy, shooting new photography, and creating new video.
— We integrated Hubspot, our marketing automation platform, and Slate, our admission CRM, throughout the site, significantly enhancing our lead generation and lead nurturing strategies.
— We onboarded a new chatbot to help guide students and families through the admission and financial aid process.

We launched the site on June 1, 2021, before the start of the 2020 enrollment cycle. To date, Rollins has received more than 10,000 applications for enrollment in this cycle—the largest number of applications in the college’s history.
