Title of entry: VeNTUre Ahead: NTU Alumni Homecoming 2022

About this entry: On 15 October 2022, NTU organized NTU Alumni Homecoming 2022, a large-scale event that attracted more than 1,200 alumni and their families. It was the first in-person Homecoming event that NTU has held and the largest alumni event since the pandemic’s onset.

For the first time, Homecoming was held outdoors at the rejuvenated Yunnan Garden with an exciting program line-up of activities, carnival games, and refreshments - a day for the NTU community to reconnect, refresh, and recharge. Open-top bus tours gave participants a stunning view of the campus, while transporting them to award-winning icons such as the Hive. There were experiential workshops and exhibition booths around campus to see the latest made-in-NTU innovations, as well as talks and alumni networking events organised by NTU Schools and Alumni Associations, with topics ranging from entrepreneurship to parenting and education.

Through the years, the active volunteering and giving by alumni have created a strong alumni network which has cemented NTU’s reputation as an educational institution with a heart. To acknowledge the achievements of the OneNTU community in bravely forging ahead in difficult times in spite of the pandemic, VeNTUre was chosen as the Homecoming theme for 2022 to celebrate the spirit of “Venture” and the unity of the OneNTU family.
