About this entry: Every year, the University attends Create Your Future, a UCAS event targeted at prospective students interested in creative subject areas.
At UEL, our creative subjects span across two academic schools: School of Architecture, Computing & Engineering (ACE) School of Art & Creative Industries (ACI). This meant an approach for marketing collateral was needed that transcended school-level marketing, yet providing a juxtaposition to our institutional messaging to target a creative-thinking audience.
UEL is a careers-led institution, therefore it was important to use language that focussed more on the careers our courses lead on to.
The main purpose of this booklet was to provide a method of showcasing our student’s creative work - showing attendees the types of work they
will produce on our courses. Details of our courses and admissions-based information is readily available in our prospectus and website and won’t
help us engage with our audience. We collated over 150 pieces of work across Art & Design, Architecture, Media & Journalism, Performing Arts & Fashion.
The event gives us access to 12,000+ potential new students on a national-scale - aligned with the University’s diversification strategy of growing recruitment outside of east London. Over the two events we captured 1,000 leads, surpassing previous years and hitting our ambitious targets.
