Title of entry: Ivey Career Management Explainer Video

About this entry: Ivey Business School’s Career Management team is a central part of the student experience and helps our graduates with their career success. Students know that Career Management is an important part, but they don’t always understand the process or take advantage of the different supports available.

To help solve this challenge, the Career Management team worked with Ivey’s Marketing team to create a video series that succinctly explains the recruiting journey and support services offered by Career Management. The aim is to get out the message that recruiting happens year-round and is driven by industry specific timelines and needs. The videos target Ivey’s prospective and current student audience.

Ivey partnered with Quebec-based video production agency, Oranje, to bring the animated explainer videos to life. In total, five videos were created to cover a wide variety of programs and how Career Management timelines and services differ between them.

The impact of this project has been a greater awareness of recruitment timelines and expectations across all programs. It has helped to alleviate the anxieties students face while seeking employment and addresses common questions. This has allowed our Career Management team to focus on other ways to support students.
