Title of entry: Making Audacious Bets: Mimi Onuoha '11

About this entry: As part of Princeton's Venture Forward engagement and fundraising campaign, we produced a series of videos around the theme of "Making Audacious Bets," featuring faculty and alumni for whom Princeton had made a bet on their talent and potential to make a positive difference in the world. For one of these videos, we focused on Princeton alumna, Mimi Onuoha '11, a Nigerian-American multimedia artist and researcher who explores issues of data science, technology and society in her work.

We worked with video production company, Smartypants Pictures, on story development, scripting, production and post-production. The video was posted with a longer feature story on our alumni website (see link in Supporting Materials), shared on our social channels and included in our monthly alumni email newsletter. We also worked with campus partners to help amplify the story on social media. The video has garnered over 37,000 views across our digital channels.
