It was created for the fundraising campaign through the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation to raise funds for the addition of an aspirational art piece in the author’s honor that is displayed in Round Table Literary Park on the campus of Hopkinsville Community College. bell hooks was a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky where Hopkinsville Community College is located. This illustration is the graphic identity of the campaign and appeared on all campaign materials, marketing materials, promotional items for giving levels: shirts, leather writing journals, laptop stickers, ceramic mugs and more.
