Title of entry: Reimagining US Global Leadership featuring Professors of the Practice series

About this entry: The Georgia Tech Alumni Association and the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs collaborated on the Reimagining US Global Leadership speakers series to bring rich learning content to alumni and leverage the Professors of the Practice that teach in the school. These alumni faculty bring deep experience in their fields to the classroom to benefit students. The series provided the opportunity to share that expertise with hundreds of alumni on a topic of broad interest, collaborate with a campus partner, and highlight a signature program that engages alumni as faculty. Speakers included former commanders of NATO and NORAD, an astronaut Hall of Famer, and a top Air Force executive. Each Professor of the Practice spoke to a different aspect of how the United States could maintain and enhance its position as a global leader with shifting geopolitics. Close to 500 people engaged with the content either live for the virtual series or by viewing recorded content in the weeks immediately following the events. The program provided a framework for other campus collaborations and additional events will be added to the series over 2023.
