About this entry: Pan Rocks was a collaborative performance that took place at Miami University. It featuring guests artists: Mark Wood, a premier electric violinist and an original member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Tracy Thornton, heavy metal drummer-turned-internationally-recognized-steel-pannist. The performance involved more than 150 musicians, including the Steel Band, alumni pan performers, and string players from Miami and several area high schools. This concert was filmed and released by Pan Rocks Studio. The university photographer, Scott Kissell, was there to capture the entire live event.
