Title of entry: UCLA Alumni Career Coaches Network and Webinar Series
About this entry: The UCLA Alumni Association implemented a new network of career coaches who provide coaching services and create valuable career and professional development programming for our alumni audience at no cost to us. Prior to the creation of the Coaches Network, our alumni often asked us for coaching services or recommendations. However, for organizations like UCLA, to fully scale coaching services to serve over 600K alumni world-wide would be nearly impossible. By creating this network of coaches, we were able to offer a list of diverse and vetted professionals to alumni in need of career support, while promoting alumni in the career coaching profession. To further promote and build awareness around this network, we launched a monthly webinar series where each month, one of our coaches would present on timely topics in their areas of expertise, providing them a platform to highlight themselves and their services all while meeting the needs of our alumni. Since the launch of the network, our list of coaches continues to grow, while our content library is robust and timely. We also have shared this model with other institutions, and universities like Ohio State University and UC Davis, have been able to replicate the model to provide coaching and content resources for their alumni.
