About this entry: UC Davis Chancellor Gary S. May has served the university for five years. This documentary-style video follows Chancellor May through a typical day as chancellor. As we follow him, we hear him reflect on his time at UC Davis.

We start the day with Chancellor May at 5:35 a.m. as he heads to the gym for a workout. The video then follows him through meetings, office work and ends back at his residence for a quiet dinner with his wife. Throughout the video, he speaks about coming to UC Davis, his strategic plan “To Boldly Go,” initiatives, challenges, his family, and his plans for moving the university forward.

From past to present, all Chancellor May’s experiences have shaped his identity and prepared him for his role now leading UC Davis.
