About this entry: Cal State Fullerton’s fall 2022 digital issue of Titan magazine complements its spring print issue with an array of exclusive stories that encompass the university’s accomplishments and the successes of its students, faculty and staff. The publication features stories about: arts alumni behind the scenes of the exquisite Cirque du Soleil and their resilience in coming back to stage after being sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic, biology alumni working to protect endangered species like the California condor, faculty and student researchers building a new observatory that will push gravitational-wave astronomy toward the edge of the observable universe, a quadriplegic student who discovered his calling at CSUF as a future counselor for trauma survivors, and kinesiology alumni coaching elite basketball teams like the 2022 NBA Champions. Collectively, these stories demonstrate the value of a Cal State Fullerton education. New to this digital issue was the launch of a digital Class Notes section, which allows alumni to browse and submit news about career moves, awards and honors, publications and performances, births and marriages, and other life events. The section is important in expanding engagement with alumni to increase readership, instill Titan pride and build a pipeline for future story potential.
