Title of entry: It Takes a Titan Like You

About this entry: Culminating the close of its first-ever comprehensive philanthropic campaign, Cal State Fullerton launched the “It Takes a Titan Like You” micro-site. The site demonstrates the incredible impact of the campaign through 13 first-person student stories, a by-the-numbers video and donor testimonials that illustrate why they chose to support the campaign. The Strategic Communications team partnered with directors of development and the colleges to identify students and donors who were eager to share their experiences, and worked closely with the development and finance teams to verify the campaign numbers. Ultimately, the campaign raised more than $270 million to support student success, academic innovation, campus transformation and community enrichment. Surpassing its initial goal of raising $175 million, the comprehensive campaign became the third largest in the history of the California State University system.
