Title of entry: Putting A Head On It

About this entry: This is a nice moment captured showing the intensity of play on the soccer field between our Seattle University Redhawks playing against Oregon State University as the two players battle for position to get a head on the soccer ball to gain possession control for their team.
I photographed this game as part of our Men's Soccer team season preview. I captured much game action imagery and positioned myself for peak action between players. Having a first hand understanding of the game I watched the players, how the flow of the game was going and predicted where some of the peak game action would occur. I followed the ball and watched the players to capture this image. I believe the composition, shutter speed, focus and overall result is one of our top Men's Soccer team images. It also helps tell the story about how dedicated our players are and how intense a soccer match can get. The photograph was highlighted in our Seattle U materials and in the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 Magazine.
