Institution: Dartmouth College

Title of entry: Dartmouth Musicians Team Up with their Counterparts in Mexico

About this entry: This photo series is a part of a broader feature that tracks the spring break journeys of three student groups engaged in experiential learning adventures. This specific gallery highlights the students, faculty, and staff who traveled to Mexico to collaborate with two local bands: Centro de Capacitación de Música de Banda and Banda Sinfónica de la Facultad de Música de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Their performances introduced new compositions by Mexican composers, many commissioned by Dartmouth's Hopkins Center for the Arts or developed through the Mexican Repertoire Initiative, spearheaded by wind ensemble director Brian Messier. These events marked the culmination of several years of dedication and work.
