Our summer issue was focused on students and their finding community here on campus. That is a presidential priority and thus, our cover on Duke's innovative Quad-Ex initiative, which is more than simply housing, but a way to make students feel a part of a community here.

Our Winter 23 issue is focused on the arts. Duke is unique in that allows a scholar to fully integrate an arts education into all majors -- and even promotes that notion that creativity inspires most everything. This was a joyful and coloful issue that we thought was the a perfect holiday gift for our alumni, arriving colorful and in December.

To be engaging enough and fun enough for someone to pick it up from the newsstand -- like they might a commercial magazine -- and enjoy it.
