About this entry: For the cover of the Spring 2023 issue our magazine editor, Eric Rangus, had the idea of shooting the two CFP National Championship trophies together. So our photo team of four photographers working with our magazine designer set out to shoot the trophies. The photo team setup several days ahead of time to shoot and test, with a pretend makeshift trophy. Then on the day that athletics brought us the trophies we were ready.
As it turned out the trophies photographed very differently and we had to make adjustments. The entire setup and execution of taking the photo was a complete team effort between the photographers, designer, editor, a student and even a husband of one of our photographers.

We wrote a blog article for the University Photographers' Association of America about the entire process and how everyone contributed and it tells a better story about how we created the photos for the entry.
