Title of entry: A week exploring the fashion and design industries in NYC

About this entry: For this story, a photographer, videographer and a writer (me) accompanied a group of University of Georgia fashion and design students to New York City for their experiential learning Maymester. We visited industry leaders at both small and large companies, connected with UGA alumni in the fashion industry, and accompanied the students on sightseeing trips that illuminated the city's history of architecture and design. We took this trip in order to highlight one of the unique programs offered at UGA. The trip itself had a great impact on the students. Several even returned to Georgia with the promise of summer internships at NYC design firms. Our story illustrated the unique nature of this program and the career opportunities it provides our students.
