About this entry: What makes someone or something legendary? At Texas Tech University, the definition can be summarized in three simple words, The Masked Rider. The mascot of Texas Tech celebrated 70 iconic years of being an international symbol of the university. To celebrate the milestone, 48 of the 62 riders returned to share stories of their experience and how the program has resolved since first appearing in the 1954 Gator Bowl.
