About this entry: We provided coverage for a period covering multiple months as Texas Tech’s Goin’ Band From Raiderland was selected to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We wanted to highlight this historic moment as part of our year-long centennial celebration. It yielded some of the best-performing social media content our accounts have ever seen, and brought thousands of new eyes to Texas Tech and our content that otherwise would not have seen anything about the university. It was also an opportunity to use considerable resources to shed a large light on our band, which is not always something that receives extensive coverage.
