About this entry: In fall 2023, El Paso community leaders and entrepreneurs Steve and Nancy Fox announced a $25 million gift to Texas Tech Health El Paso, forever transforming cancer care on the U.S.-Mexico border. Their generosity was more than a gift, but a meaningful investment sparked by Steve's journey as a cancer warrior. Knowing the impact a cancer center would have in our region, and the deep familial ties involved, our Institutional Advancement team focused on making the event historic and unforgettable, with sentimental details woven into every aspect of the planning. As a result, we not only celebrated the generosity and spirit of the Fox family but began a new chapter for Texas Tech Health El Paso as we announced the Steve and Nancy Fox Cancer Center to our community, the nation and the world.
