About this entry: When the Director of Admissions, who has been with the Admissions Office for more than 12 years, tells you that “This is my favorite viewbook that we’ve ever done!” — you know that something special happened to create the 2023-24 freshman viewbook for the University of North Dakota.
The expanded level of collaboration between the Admissions team and our in-house Marketing & Creative Strategy team was the key to our success. From the first kick-off meeting to the final approval, our two teams worked closely together to create UND’s cornerstone recruitment piece. Our increased understanding of each team’s goals, expectations and ideas allowed us to push our creativity in new directions in order to showcase UND to prospective students.
The result was an on-budget, on-time publication centered around UND's brand message “Lead Your Own Way.” The spreads featured bold photography, engaging typography, outcome-driven statistics, rankings, academic program options and student-life involvement opportunities.
And the hard work is already paying off for fall 2024. The three main call-to-actions in the viewbook are to request more information about academic programs, visit campus and apply for admissions. In comparing the same period from 2022 to 2023, we've seen a 11.5% increase in freshman applications, a 15.8% increase in campus visitors, and a whopping 54.9% increase in inquiries from our program finder website. These notable trends are key indicators related to our fall 2024 enrollment goals.
