Title of entry: DMU Bound Brochure

About this entry: The DMU Bound Brochure is a dynamic gate-fold brochure sent to prospective students in the mail informing them that they have been admitted to Des Moines University. It was created by our marketing team for our admissions team and printed by a local vendor. The brochure arrives in students’ mailboxes in an envelope, and when opened a congratulations message on the front can be read saying “Congrats on Being Admitted to DMU.” When the student unfolds it once, they see a short message regarding next steps along with a tipped-in admittance letter. Photos here showcase diverse students around campus doing a range of different activities, such as trying on their white coat as a first-year student, seeing patients in clinical labs and interacting with professors in a classroom setting. This image underscores that DMU is an all-graduate, all-medical and health sciences institution, one of our selling points. The short message encourages students to scan a QR code to learn more. When the brochure is unfolded a final time, recipients see a large, stunning photo of our new campus with the message “I’m Proud to Be #DMUBOUND.” This side of the brochure was designed to create excitement with the hope that the student would snap a photo with the message and showcase their enthusiasm and pride on social media.
