Title of entry: The Radias' Story

About this entry: We produced a video to honor one of our board members, who is also an alumna, and her husband, both longtime financial supporters of the university and active leaders in Central Iowa, and to inspire giving among other DMU constituents. The video was shown during an annual fundraising event for a DMU fund that the couple has supported for many years, including with their most recent leadership gift. The emotional resonance of the video left a profound impact on our audience, shedding light on the couple’s unique story and commitment to their community. This video stands out as one of the most involved projects undertaken by the communications team this year. Our photographer invested approximately 50 hours, overseeing the intricacies of the three-camera shoot single-handedly, digging through old yearbooks, scanning photos, editing the appropriate sound bites and weaving it all together for the final product. The video not only celebrated the couple’s remarkable contribution but also highlighted the university’s commitment to recognizing and cherishing those who play a pivotal role in our mission.
