Title of entry: University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Inclusive Business Leaders

About this entry: The Nebraska College of Business sought to increase enrollment and retention of at-promise and minoritized students. To meet this need, we created the Inclusive Business Leaders program to support students of underrepresented populations and equip them, through curricular and co-curricular activities, with the skills to succeed in college and their careers.

Students apply during their senior year of high school and officially enroll in the program as a first-year student. The program runs throughout the academic year and then students can continue with the program as a paid peer mentor during their second year.

Our efforts tackled building awareness, reaching previously under-engaged audiences to increase applicants, and helping increase donor support for this DEI program making business inclusive for all.
