Title of entry: Scooter's Maverick Blend Coffee Label

About this entry: The University of Nebraska at Omaha Alumni Association Scholarship Program awards more than $20,000 annually and supports 20 UNO students. To increase financial support for this program, the UNO Alumni Association Executive Director developed a partnership with Scooter's Coffee to create a special Maverick Blend. The UNO Alumni Association worked with in-house designers at the University of Nebraska Foundation to create a custom label for the ground coffee bags. The unique label includes the tagline "Grab Your Day by the Horns" and a line drawing of the Maverick Monument, a bronze statue of the university's mascot, a gift from the UNO Alumni Association to the university on its 100th anniversary and a well-recognized symbol of Maverick pride.

The coffee is sold exclusively by UNO Bookstore via their store, website and event pop-up shops. For every bag purchased, $5 directly supports the UNO Alumni Association scholarship program. To date, more than 350 bags have been sold and $1,750 raised for the scholarship fund.
