Title of entry: SFS 110th Anniversary Video

About this entry: The video, titled "110 Years of Resilience and Growth: SFS and Korea's Shared Story," was created in April 2023 to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Seoul Foreign School. Despite technically being in its 111th year, the celebrations were postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions. The Marketing and Communications department, consisting of a team of two, was entrusted by our Head of School with the task of organizing a celebratory ceremony and crafting a video. Due to budget constraints, the entire production had to be managed in-house within a one-week timeframe.
Thus, we opted to spotlight a narrative that truly embodies the essence of SFS: the tale of two teachers who not only fell in love with Korea but also with each other. Their story unfolded organically without any scripting, as we aimed for utmost authenticity to evoke an emotional response from our audience. The impact of the video was palpable during the 110th ceremony, with hardly a dry eye in the audience. Its significance transcended mere view counts, serving as a poignant reminder of the deep love and connection that students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents alike share with SFS, and our host country.
