Title of entry: Your Gift in Action

About this entry: I wrote and co-produced a video with a videographer colleague for the university's New Year Donor Appreciation event in 2024 to thank the donors for what they have done for our students. I specifically chose 3 students of different profiles who have each benefitted from the donor's gifts in different ways so that donors can see how financial aid and scholarships can result in various positive outcomes e.g. having the freedom to enter a competition and achieve something big, getting a job ahead of graduation, and being able to settle into university faster than without the aid.

The donor impact video premiered during the New Year Donor Appreciation event in Feb 2024, and received great responses from the donors. They liked that it was simple and to the point, and the donors of some of the featured students even wanted a copy of the video for internal circulation to show their staff that their philanthropy was not in vain.
