About this entry: Our challenge: RSM's MSc graduation day, hosting 5,000+ graduates and guests on a single day, suffered from confusing logistics, a bland ceremony, and low attendee satisfaction.
Our solution: Inspired by travel, we streamlined registration, signage, and flow. We then crafted a cohesive narrative told through audio, video, and speakers, divided into three chapters: heritage, journey, and future. This "stage show" aimed to inspire future donors, volunteers, and active alumni by setting the mood at graduation.
Despite the logistical hurdles we still experienced in hosting 12 ceremonies in one day, better logistics, signage, and communications reduced the waiting times and bottlenecks in the venue. Feedback was 60% more positive than the previous year, with graduates reporting that the ceremony was easy, inspiring, and unforgettable. This innovative approach has helped to transform the graduation experience for our graduates and guests.
