About this entry: Envision is the only regular communications vehicle at UVA dedicated to highlighting the entire landscape of the university’s fundraising initiatives and priorities. The print magazine is mailed twice a year to more than 21,000 top campaign donors and an email version featuring 4-5 stories is sent to more than 123,000 donors 10x a year, exponentially increasing its reach. Through compelling storytelling, engaging photography and videos, clean design, and the latest digital technology these complementary magazine formats cultivate, recognize, and steward donors to UVA’s Honor the Future Campaign. Stories from the print magazine, digital-only stories, and related videos can be accessed on the UVA giving site, giving.virginia.edu. Once there, readers can engage with other content, learn more about the campaign, and make a gift.
The print and digital editions work seamlessly to deliver news about the progress of the campaign while focusing on the impact of campaign gifts and sharing the results and benefits of private support. The Honor the Future Campaign reached its $5 billion goal a full 18 months ahead of schedule. Envision has been instrumental in this achievement and continuing the momentum of the campaign.
The digital editions of Envision leverage MJML to streamline development, enhance deliverability, and ensure a consistent, bug-free experience. Digital Envision provide readers with a top-quality email experience and is very well-received, as evidenced by its strong 50% open rate. Like its print counterpart, it facilitates communication between donors and donor officers, strengthening relationships and encouraging ongoing philanthropy.
