About this entry: Choosing a college is one of the most significant decisions a student will make. Much of that choice is influenced by campus life, academic opportunities, and post-graduate success. Recognizing the need for an engaging, informative, and authentic resource, Miami University launched the Meet Miami U blog to enhance prospective students’ and families’ understanding of the Miami experience.

Designed as a dynamic storytelling platform, the blog serves as both an awareness driver and a key marketing asset. It was strategically developed to complement social media efforts while also seamlessly integrating broader marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns and other targeted outreach. By providing captivating narratives, firsthand student experiences, and informative content, the blog fosters an emotional connection with audiences at the top of the marketing funnel, ultimately guiding them further along their decision-making journey.

Since its launch on August 26, 2024, the impact has exceeded expectations. In just over four months (August-December 2024), the blog has generated more than 51,000 pageviews, demonstrating strong audience interest and engagement. Additionally, the campaign has earned over 1.3 million paid and organic impressions, with nearly 30,000 engagements — a testament to the effectiveness of this content-driven approach.

By leveraging authentic storytelling and strategic distribution, Meet Miami U has become a powerful tool in shaping perceptions of Miami University, fostering meaningful connections, and ultimately influencing enrollment decisions. This initiative has set a new standard for digital engagement in higher education marketing.
