Title of entry: University of Utah Asia Campus 10th Anniversary

About this entry: To honor the 10th anniversary of the University of Utah Asia Campus in Incheon, South Korea, we hosted over 2,500 alumni, parents, friends, faculty, students, staff, government officials, and community members for a three-day celebration. The anniversary marked a decade of substantial growth at the university’s only international campus.

Day 1: Carnival
We kicked it off with a carnival—open to the community, including students of the other three schools that share the Incheon Global Campus with the University of Utah. Games and rides, traditional Korean street foods, face painting, photo booths, K-pop dance, and music filled the campus.

Day 2: Culture & Campus Tours
Morning attendees chose a private tour of nearby Seoul, or a cultural traditions workshop led by some of Korea's finest masters of their craft.

Later, students staffed a campus open house. This rolled smoothly into the philanthropic portion of the celebration, where, over dinner, we heard from donors and students about the impact of scholarships. The finale included an unveiling of the campus's first donor recognition wall.

Day 3: Gala
600 alumni, students, staff, and distinguished guests joined in the 10th Anniversary Gala at Paradise Hotel. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, which included photo booths, the opportunity to purchase special edition merchandise, and an invitation to add words and photos to "Our Community Story" wall. Dinner remarks by distinguished speakers were punctuated by a video documentary. The evening wrapped with a U-themed show by a popular Korean magician.
