Title of entry: Celebrating the Impact of the For Alaska campaign - Microsite
About this entry: The For Alaska campaign microsite (universityforalaska.com) has been a central go-to for the University of Alaska’s campaign since its public launch in March, 2021. In celebration of the largest philanthropic campaign in the state's history, the link has been shared far and wide with donors, alumni and friends through its inclusion in physical mailings, email mailings and social media. Those who go to the website will find stories of impact and gratitude, meaningful photos and video content- all as a “thank you” to the 21,777 donors who gave over the course of the eight year campaign.
In celebration of the milestone, the site recently underwent a complete redesign. In addition to the standard campaign branding, a common design theme was applied across all celebration materials, including the microsite, and centered around artwork created by local artist Amanda Rose Warren. Warren’s art is a nod to the natural features where each university resides: the waters of Southeast, the mountains of South Central and the aurora of the Interior. The website created a digital canvas to bring the artwork to life, not only through movement, but through the extension of the web designer's creativity.
