Title of entry: Physician Assistant Brochure

About this entry: This brochure was created for marketing a new graduate degree at MTSU—the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Because demand for P.A. programs is very strong, the team developing the new program knew they would have no trouble attracting candidates. The goal of the brochure was to help them attract the best candidates. We highlighted the benefits of the profession to reach people who might be in health-related jobs (paramedics or athletic trainers, for example) and see the program as an opportunity to elevate their careers. We highlighted the benefits of our location to appeal to potential applicants outside of our geographic area, touting the lifestyle and economic advantages—especially in health care—of living in the greater Nashville area. We highlighted the benefits of our program, pointing out specifics about the curriculum and clinical areas we will offer, as well as MTSU’s service-minded approach to education—attributes that will appeal to applicants deciding among competing programs in the middle Tennessee market. Finally, we included the demanding requirements for applicants. It is a daunting list, but it tells potential students that, if they are admitted, they’ll be part of an exceptional cohort of future physician assistants.
