Title of entry: Exeter's Financial Explainer

About this entry: For this project we were tasked with explaining, broadly, how Phillips Exeter Academy's finances work and answering some frequently asked questions about our endowment, tuition and giving. Among our alumni community, it's common knowledge that we have a robust endowment of over one billion dollars. We sought to show that while our endowment is indeed strong, constraints within the structure of the endowment prohibit us from using more than a small percentage for annual operating costs. The ultimate goal was to remind our viewers of the importance of gifts to our annual fund, The Exeter Fund.
