About this entry: The Boston University School of Law constantly and consistently meets its reputation for being on the cutting edge of law practice. Throughout the University’s history and up to the present, the study and analysis of current law practice has always been seen as scaffolding to build upon and evolve. At BU, law practice is constantly in flux. The law isn’t just studied and practiced here; it is built upon. The illustrations on the cover and within the related feature, by Alex Jeffries, cleverly adopt the idea of “building” by striking upon a collective childhood experience of building plastic model kits. An unbuilt model kit evokes the notion of having the components of law to constantly reinterpret.
